Battle Beasts

These great little Battle Beasts, based off the old line of toys, were built by Garry (Garry_rocks), and they all look extremely good. I really like the fact that they're all similar-looking but there are specific differences between them, and of course the colours are very nice indeed.

Hold the Phalanx!

Macsen Wleidig, an excellent historical builder, has built this epic confrontation between Romans and Etruscans, and actually historical event. Click on the photo to see a wealth of information about the battle in the description. What I enjoy about this MOC is the beautiful architecture, with the worn stone, the half-Lowell sphere used to create a domed roof, and the sense of action conveying the fury of battle, expertly portrayed by the minifig posing and the rushing water effect. Well done!

In a hole in the ground there lived a Hobbit...

Leonardo da Brick brings us this awesome Lego rendition of Bag End from The Hobbit. I like the way he SNOTed the leaves onto the side, giving the effect of the grassy hill Bilbo's house is built into.

Forced perspective...

...no, wait, that's not forced! James Pegrum, the master of historically-accurate MOCs, has amazed us once again with this scene based in London in 1874. The rough stone street is very well done, but for me it's the look of the houses that perfects the build. The buildings on the right look especially good.

Stapler

Bruce Lowell, an expert at making ultra-realistic Lego models, made this lovely Stapler.  The attention to detail is amazing; from the indentations where the staples come out to the perfect curves on the handle.

SHIPing Out

Way to finish with a bang!  With just a few days left in SHIPtember, Lego Junkie made this beautiful SHIP, the USS Matal.  The shaping, colors,  and presentation are all top notch.  I really like those white missile launchers on the side; they really add an eye-catching splash of color.

Vroom vroom!

BricksBen LEGO Creations, a superb double act, uploaded this brilliant Formula 1 racer to Flickr. I love how the simplicity of the design only complements the overall look - it's instantly recognisable. Sure, these guys were featured the other day, but when you build like they do you deserve to be featured more than once!
