History built right!

There have been a fair few historically-accurate creations built recently, but not many are as good as this one. Gary Brooks had this beast ready just in time for BrickFair VA, but clearly a lot of time, effort - and not least money! - went into it. It depicts the Battle of Rorke's Drift, made famous by the 1964 film Zulu, though it is based not on what the film shows but what actually happened on that day in 1879. Gary has put together a very interesting account in the description on Flickr, so make sure that you read it. As for the MOC, well...what a beast! The olive-green leaves on the ground make it look like it really is in the South African wilds. The scale is incredible....
